Serve... <br />Tools to Green the Future! <br />Orange County Conservation Corps <br />Supportive Services Policy and Procedures <br />Purpose: <br />To establish guidelines for the issuance of support services to participants of any grant <br />program governed by W.I.A. regulations, who are identified in need of such services, in <br />order to assure the successful completion of our program. <br />Reference: <br />W.I.A. Regulations: 663.805: Support services may only be provided to individuals who <br />are: <br />a. Participating in core, intensive or training services. <br />b. Unable to obtain supportive services through any other programs providing such <br />services. <br />c. When they are necessary to enable individuals to participate in the WIA program. <br />Procedures: <br />ELIGIBILITY: <br />1. To request and receive support services, an individual must be WIA eligible and <br />enrolled with the Orange County Conservation Corps (OCCC). <br />2. Support Services will be made available to participants while they are in any <br />facet of WIA services contingent upon need and approval. <br />3. As it is with all WIA services, provision of support services is not an entitlement. <br />AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND ASSESSMENT OF NEED: <br />All Support Services not offered through OCCC are processed on a <br />reimbursement basis. <br />Support services are delivered contingent upon availability of funds and given on <br />a first come, first serve basis. <br />Initial assessment of need will be determined by the Case Manager. The <br />assessment will be recorded on the Individual Service Strategy (ISS)/ My Action <br />Plan (MAP) form and continuously reviewed on a monthly basis. <br />Support services are available to those participants who have no other way to <br />meet needs and have expressed the need to the Case Manager. <br />EXHIBIT A <br />
