Gloves are necessary in the routine processing <br />of chemical and biological materials that have the potential for harmful exposure. This is <br />particularly the case in crime scene investigations and jail operations. As a result, proper <br />personal protective wear, including latex and non -latex gloves, are essential to protect staff from <br />this exposure. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on September 15, 2014 on the City's online bid <br />management and publication system. A summary of the bid invitations and bids received is as <br />follows: <br />12 Vendors were notified <br />13 Vendors downloaded the bid packet <br />1 Received from Santa Ana vendors <br />3 Bids received <br />The bids were received and opened on September 25, 2014 and evaluated (Exhibit 1).
