additional service and shall be reconsidered for such advancement after the <br />completion of six (6) months of additional service. <br />4.8. Performance Based Salary Adjustments: Effective July 1, 2014 each Police Management <br />employee covered by this agreement who has attained Step D may be eligible to receive an <br />annual performance bonus as a one -time monetary incentive payment based on a percentage <br />of current annual rate of base salary in accordance with the following: <br />A. Performance Levels <br />1. For overall performance rated as `5" Significantly Exceeds Expectations, a one- <br />time monetary incentive payment of five percent (5 %). <br />2. For overall performance rated as `4' Exceeds Expectations, a one -time monetary <br />incentive payment of two and one -half percent (2.5 %). <br />3. For overall performance rated as `3' Meets Expectations, no monetary incentive <br />payment. <br />4. For overall performance rated as `2' Below Expectations, no monetary incentive <br />payment. <br />5. For overall performance rated as `1' Significantly Below Expectations, no <br />monetary incentive payment. <br />B. Application of Guidelines <br />Any one -time incentive payment granted under this plan is not an increase in base <br />salary and no salary rate range applicable to any Police Management employee <br />covered by this Agreement shall be changed or deemed to have been changed by <br />reason of such payment. However, such incentive payment for Classic CalPERS <br />members as allowable under CCR Section 571 a will be reported to CalPERS as <br />special compensation for calculation towards retirement. <br />2. In the event that CalPERS determines that such payments do not meet the <br />definitions listed in CCR Section 571a as special compensation to be reported to <br />CalPERS, the City will convert the incentive payment for eligible employees to a <br />meritorious step on the salary range as set forth in section 4.813(7) below. <br />3. Any PMA employee that is deemed to be a "New CalPERS Member" is not <br />eligible to have the incentive payment reported to CalPERS as special <br />compensation. <br />9 <br />
