Direct staff to amend the Seven -Year Capital Improvement Program to incorporate the Arterial <br />Pavement Management Program projects list. <br />DISCUSSION <br />On August 11, 2014, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) issued a call for <br />projects for Arterial Pavement Management (APM) grants. The APM program is funded with <br />Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP) funding under the Moving Ahead for Progress <br />in the 21st Century (MAP -21) Federal Transportation Act. <br />Approximately $20 million in federal RSTP funds will be available in Fiscal Year 2015 -16. Each <br />APM grant application must be for a minimum award of $250,000 up to a maximum of $500,000. <br />Additionally, each candidate project is required to provide at least 50 percent in matching funds. <br />Beginning October 2014, OCTA staff will review and rank the APM applications. The OCTA <br />Board is scheduled to approve the program of projects on January 12, 2015. <br />City staff is requesting authorization to submit three grant applications for APM funding for Fiscal <br />Year 2015 -16: <br />RECOMMENDED PROJECTS <br />GRANT $ <br />Warner Avenue Pavement Maintenance from west city limit to Grand <br />$500,000 <br />Fairview Street Pavement Maintenance from Se erstrom to north city limit <br />$500,000 <br />First Street Pavement Maintenance from Newhope to Main <br />$500,000 <br />Total <br />$1,500,000 <br />55E -1 <br />
