REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />NOVEMBER 18, 2014 <br />TITLE: <br />SANTIAGO CREEK FIRE PREVENTION <br />ACTION PLAN <br />{STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 5, 4} <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />❑ Ordinance on 1" Reading <br />❑ Ordinance on 2n' Reading <br />❑ Implementing Resolution <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />CIT AN R <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Receive and file Santiago Creek Fire Prevention Action Plan. <br />The Santiago Creek Fire Prevention Action Plan identifies the step -by -step implementation of <br />proposed fire prevention and safety efforts in the Santiago Creek Channel between Interstate 5 <br />Freeway and Flower Street in order to reduce the risk of fire to the City's right -of -way and adjacent <br />homes. This is a joint project between the City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency and the Orange <br />County Fire Authority. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 Community Health, Livability, <br />Engagement & Sustainability, Objective #4 (support neighborhood vitality and livability). <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />There is no environmental impact associated with this action.
