<br />Housing units and households in Santa Ana and Orange County in January 2013, as estimated by the CDF,
<br />are shown in Table 5.10 -2. In 2010, 47.5 percent of occupied housing units in the City were owner occupied
<br />and 52.5 percent renter occupied (USCB 2013a).

<br />Numbers of housing units in Santa Ana and Orange County over the 2010 -2035 period, as forecast by the
<br />CDR, are shown in Table 5.10 -3. The number of housing units in the City is forecast to grow by 1,405 units,
<br />or 1.8 percent, between 2010 and 2035, and the number of units in the county by 130,599 units, or 12.4
<br />percent.

<br />In the six census tracts containing the part of Santa Ana bounded by the Santa Ana River, Westminster
<br />Avenue, Newhope Street, and the City of Fountain Valley, 8,666 housing units and 8,285 occupied housing
<br />units were counted in the 2010 Census, for a vacancy rate of 4.4 percent. Occupied housing units comprised
<br />47.7 percent owner - occupied units and 52.3 percent renter - occupied units (USCB 2013a).
<br />Housing Onsite
<br />The project area contains 831 residential units, 739 units in the Harbor Corridor Area and 92 units in the
<br />Conventional Zoning Area, including multifamily residential and mobile -home communities accessed from
<br />Harbor Boulevard and single - family residential areas along Jackson Street.
<br />Zoning for residential uses onsite are located within three areas of the Harbor Corridor Plan, shown in
<br />Figure 41, Current Zoning Designations.
