LAND USE ELENI EN T <br />SPECIFIC PLANS <br />The City of Santa Ana has established Specific Plan areas to provide greater <br />flexibility in the development standards contained in the City's General Plan and <br />Zoning Ordinance. T heSpecific PI answere establ ished for planni ng areaswhich <br />would benefit from a comprehensive development scheme otherwise not be <br />possible under existing land use regulations T here specifi c plans i nd ude. <br />Harbor Mied Use Transit Corridor Specific Plan applies to an <br />approximately 305-acrearea. First adopted in 1992 and updated in 2014, the <br />Specific Plan outl inesthe planned land usesand development standardsfor <br />this area, aswelI as publ i c improvements needed to support the antid pated <br />uses. The Plan promotes vibrant residential and mixed use development <br />along Harbor Boulevard, and connections between activity areasand local <br />transit opportunities, while striving to minimize incompatibility with <br />adjacent residential uses. <br />Bristol Corridor SpecificPlan appl iesto the 3.9-mi Iesection of Bristol Street <br />in the central portion of the City. Thiscorridor indudesa portion of the <br />project areafor the Bristol Street Corridor Redevelopment Plan.
