CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO. 11 -6416 <br />SEVENTEENTH STREET WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br />Payment for constructing water main tie -ins, shutdown and abandonment shall be included in <br />the unit price bid for other items of work and no additional compensation will be allowed <br />therefore. <br />3.19 EROSION CONTROL PLAN <br />Contractor shall prepare erosion and sediment control plan immediately after award of the <br />contract for the approval of the Engineer. The plan shall be prepared per the applicable <br />guidelines described in the California Storm Water Best Management Practices Handbook. <br />The Contractor shall submit the plans for review and shall make the necessary revisions to <br />the plans as directed by the Engineer. The plans shall be prepared by a licensed Civil <br />Engineer. The AGENCY may waive the requirement of licensed Civil Engineer if the <br />Contractor can satisfactorily prove to the Engineer that the person preparing the erosion <br />control plan is qualified in the field of erosion control. <br />The Contractor shall keep a copy of the erosion control plan on -site for the duration of the <br />contract and shall provide all necessary control devices to implement all necessary measures <br />as shown on the plan. The erosion control plan shall remain in effect until approval to remove <br />is granted by the Engineer. <br />All erosion control materials shall be available on -site and stockpiled at a convenient location <br />to facilitate rapid construction of temporary devices when rain is eminent. <br />Payment for the erosion control plan shall be included in other items of work and no <br />additional compensation will be allowed therefore. <br />3.20 AS -BUILT <br />The Contractor shall maintain a control set of plans and specifications on the project site at all <br />times. As approved by the Engineer, all final locations determined in the field and any <br />deviations from the plans and specifications shall be marked in red on this control set to show <br />the As -Built conditions. Upon completion of all work, the Contractor shall submit the control <br />set to the Engineer. Final payment will not be made until this requirement is met. <br />3.21 SUBMITTALS <br />Water Service submittals shall be in conformance with all City Standard Plans for Water <br />Services and shall include, but not be limited to, manufacturer information from the <br />following: <br />a. Service Saddles <br />T -3v <br />23A -117 <br />
