CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />PROJECT NO. 11 -6416 <br />SEVENTEENTH STREET WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br />d. Building and Electrical Permits. For projects involving building, structural construction, <br />traffic signal or irrigation controller installation, the Prime Contractor shall obtain the <br />necessary building and electrical permits from the Planning & Building Agency. There <br />will be no fees for these permits. <br />All permits and fees required by all other Agencies having jurisdiction over any part of the <br />work shall be obtained and paid for by the Contractor, unless otherwise noted on the Plans or <br />in the TECHNICAL PROVISIONS. <br />1.11 CLEAN -UP & DUST CONTROL <br />This Section shall conform to Subsection 7 -8.1 of the Standard Specifications and these <br />TECHNICAL PROVISIONS. <br />The Contractor shall keep the work site clean and free from rubbish and debris at the end of <br />every working day. <br />In addition, the Contractor shall be fully responsible for removing any graffiti placed on <br />new improvements or Contractor's equipment daily immediately at the start of the work <br />day. Cost to remove graffiti shall be included in other items of work and no additional <br />compensation will be allowed therefore. <br />1.12 PUBLIC CONVENIENCE & SAFETY <br />This section shall conform to Subsection 7 -10 of the Standard Specifications and these <br />Technical Provisions. <br />Intersections shall be kept open until work takes place within the intersection. Local vehicular <br />and pedestrian access, including access to driveways and businesses, shall be maintained at all <br />times. Pedestrian access across both streets in an intersection must be maintained at all times <br />with a minimum 4 -foot width. <br />All signs shall be illuminated or reflectorized when they are used during hours of darkness. All <br />cones, pylons, barricades, or posts used in the diversion of traffic shall be reflectorized. <br />All signing, barricading and diversion of traffic shall be subject to the approval of the Engineer. <br />The Contractor shall provide a telephone number at which the Contractor's representatives <br />can be reached should an emergency occur requiring replacement or relocation of the <br />required traffic devices. <br />T -le <br />23A -84 <br />
