Baird <br />2014 -54 <br />2441 North Riverside Drive <br />11/20/14 <br />(Henderson House) <br />7:0:1 <br />(McLoughlin <br />abstained <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION ACTION <br />On November 6, 2014 and November 20, 2014, the Historic Resources Commission <br />recommended that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to <br />execute the attached Mills Act agreements with the identified property owners for the historic <br />structures, subject to non - substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney. <br />DISCUSSION <br />This action allows for the approval of a Historic Property Preservation Agreement (Mills Act <br />Contract) which provides a potential property tax reduction allowing the property owner to <br />reinvest the tax savings into the maintenance of the historic property (Exhibit A). Additionally, the <br />agreement prevents inappropriate alterations to the historic structures (Exhibits B1 -B40). <br />25A -3 <br />
