84 <br />WATER RATE STUDY I City of Santa Ana, CA <br />Pipe Vintage <br />The oldest pipes in the system appear to have been installed as early as 1906. Over 12 percent were <br />installed prior to 1930. The majority of the system (about 76 percent) was installed in the 1950s through <br />the 1980s. Pipe vintages (install decade) are listed in Table B - 1 below. Figure B - 6 also shows the <br />amount of pipe installed each year as well as the cumulative totals. Figure B - 7 provides a map of water <br />mains color coded by pipe install decade.
