The Mayor calls for nominations for Mayor Pro Tem position. <br />2. Close nominations for position. <br />3. The Mayor declares the result of the election. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Pursuant to Santa Ana Charter Section 405 and Municipal Code Section 2-101, the newly elected <br />council shall elect a mayor pro tem who shall act as mayor during the absence from the City or <br />disability of the mayor, or during any vacancy in the office of mayor until otherwise filled in <br />accordance with Section 403 of the Santa Ana Charter. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />1-74 44Ak <br />Jr <br />Maria D.
