The County of Orange, the City of Santa Ana, and nine other cities that would benefit from the construction of the Foothill/ Eastern Transportation Corridor are members of the Transportation Corridor Agency. The City of Dana Point has recently requested to become a member of the Foothill /Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency.. The City of Dana Point has complied with the requirements of Section 4.1 of the "First Amended and Restated Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement Creating the Foothill /Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency" by enactment of an Ordinance adopting the Major Thoroughfare and Bridge Fee Program of the Agency, and a Resolution establishing the areas of benefit, estimated costs and required fees. Section 9.1 of the Agreement requires unanimous consent of all parties, including the City of Dana Point. Inclusion of the City of Dana Point as a member of the Transportation Corridor Agency will assure that each of the areas of benefit contribute their fair share of the costs for the Foothill /Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency.
