REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING DATE March 2, 1992 <br />TITLE RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT <br />C.S. 383 <br />NO. 2 TO THE "FIRST AMENDED AND <br />RESTATED JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS <br />AGREEMENT CREATING THE FOOTHILL/ <br />EASTERN TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL USE ONLY <br />Approved <br />0 As Recommended <br />See Minutes <br />0 Ord inance on 1st Reading <br />0 d inance on 2nd Reading <br />Implementing Resolution MAR 21992 <br />F—] Set Public Hearing For <br />Continued to: <br />Adopt a resolution approving the admission of the City of Dana Point <br />as a party to the Foothill /Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency. <br />The County of Orange, the City of Santa Ana, and nine other cities <br />that would benefit from the construction of the Foothill/ Eastern <br />Transportation Corridor are members of the Transportation Corridor <br />Agency. The City of Dana Point has recently requested to become a <br />member of the Foothill /Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency.. <br />The City of Dana Point has complied with the requirements of <br />Section 4.1 of the "First Amended and Restated Joint Exercise of <br />Powers Agreement Creating the Foothill /Eastern Transportation Corridor <br />Agency" by enactment of an Ordinance adopting the Major Thoroughfare <br />and Bridge Fee Program of the Agency, and a Resolution establishing <br />the areas of benefit, estimated costs and required fees. <br />Section 9.1 of the Agreement requires unanimous consent of all <br />parties, including the City of Dana Point. Inclusion of the City of <br />Dana Point as a member of the Transportation Corridor Agency will <br />assure that each of the areas of benefit contribute their fair share <br />of the costs for the Foothill /Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no direct fiscal impact on the City of Santa Ana with this <br />action. <br />James G.
