The comment topics ranged from broad statements of support or opposition to specific questions on environmental areas of concern. The one federal agency to comment on the EA /DEIR was the U.S. General Services Administration, which expressed support for Streetcar Alternative 1. Four State agencies submitted comment letters related to the EA /DEIR. Three of the comment letters acknowledged that the EA/DEIR was received, and one comment letter was related to the preservation of cultural resources. Seven comment letters were received from local organizations, including the Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society, which raised concerns over effects to the Howe - Waffle House.
