Council discussion continued. <br />Councilmember Tinajero, commented that planning commissioners held to <br />high standards; member nominated for re -appointment has not complied <br />with bylaws. <br />Councilmember Reyna, noted that goal is to allow representatives and <br />voices of the community at the table, important to respect opinions. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Sarmiento, indicated that courtesy extended to nominating <br />Councilmember; concerned because there is cause; issue with disclosure <br />forms; commissioners held to higher standard; commissioners serve at the <br />pleasure of the Council and some have been removed in the past for <br />lesser cause; reportable documents that are mandated should be filed; <br />City Council has discretion not to reappoint. <br />Councilmember Benavides, requested clarification on Ex Parte <br />Communication form that was not filed; commissioner has filed all required <br />forms to date. <br />City Attorney Carvalho, indicated that commissioner has submitted all Ex <br />Parte contact forms as required by the Planning commission; explained <br />purpose of forms and also Fair Political Practices Commission form as <br />required. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Sarmiento requested clarification from City Attorney on <br />purpose of Ex Parte Communication form. <br />Council voted on original amended motion. <br />AMENDED MOTION: Reappoint 1-5 and 7. <br />Name <br />Board/Commission <br />1.
