The <br />Request for Proposals (Exhibit 1) is for professional services to assist City staff with the <br />development of an Arts and Culture Master Plan in furtherance of the implementation of the <br />Santa Ana Strategic Plan (Goal 5, Strategy 5a). <br />The goal of the Arts and Culture Master Plan is to create a common vision for the role that arts <br />and culture should play in the City of Santa Ana, as well as to ascertain what pieces of that vision <br />can guide policy and programming to enhance the quality of life for Santa Ana residents, <br />businesses, and visitors. A community -wide, multi - lingual public participation program is an <br />essential component to creating a widely accepted Arts and Culture Master Plan. Specifically, <br />the Master Plan will reflect the community's desire to utilize arts and culture to enhance the <br />sense of community; enhance economic vitality that is linked to arts and culture; create and <br />support an environment where art and culture thrive and enrich the community culturally, <br />aesthetically, educationally, and economically. <br />The Arts and Culture Commission, will evaluate and select the proposal that will be brought <br />forward to City Council for approval. <br />19C -1 <br />
