I. Introduction & Project Background <br />The City of Santa Ana is seeking proposals from qualified Consultant Teams with experience in cultural <br />planning to develop an Arts and Culture Master Plan. Proposals, including qualifications, should be submitted <br />in accordance with the requirements described herein. <br />The City will award a one -year contract that may include a 6 month extension. The anticipated start date will <br />be April 2015, with a completion date in early 2016. <br />In the event sufficient budgeted funds are not available for a new fiscal period, the City shall retain the right to <br />notify the provider of such occurrence in writing at least thirty (30) days before the end of the current fiscal <br />period and terminate the contract on the last day of the current fiscal period without penalty or expense to the <br />City. <br />Proposals must be received in the Community Development Agency office by Friday, March 6, 2015 at 5:00 <br />p.m. The contract award is expected to be granted in April 2015. <br />Please refer all questions regarding this Request for Proposals (RFP) to: <br />Kelly Reenders <br />Executive Director, Community Development Agency <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, M -25, 6th Floor <br />Santa Ana, CA 92702 <br />OBJECTIVE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL <br />The objective of this RFP is to award a contract, with the terms described herein, to a Consultant Team to <br />perform the Scope of Work detailed herein and complete the City's Arts and Culture Master Plan. <br />CULTURAL CONTEXT <br />The City of Santa Ana ( "the City ") is a 27 square -mile economically diverse city located 35 miles south of Los <br />Angeles and roughly 10 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. With a total population of more than 330,000, <br />Santa Ana is Orange County's second largest city and serves as the County seat. <br />Santa Ana's historic downtown district is rich in art and culture and is a shopping, entertainment and cultural <br />destination unlike any other in Orange County.
