MINUTES OF JOINT POLICY MEETING <br />SANTA ANA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT & SANTA ANA CITY COUNCIL <br />June 10, 2013 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Joint Policy meeting convened at 6:00 p.m. at Santa Ana High School Principal's <br />Conference Room, 520 W. Walnut, Santa Ana, California. <br />ATTENDANCE <br />City Council members <br />Present <br />SAUSD Board members <br />Present <br />Sal Tinajero <br />Roman Reyna <br />Angelica Amezcua <br />Rob Richardson <br />Audrey Yamagata -Noji, Ph.D. <br />City Staff Present: Kevin O'Rourke, Interim City Manager <br />Debbie Kurita, Deputy City Manager <br />Jose Sandoval, Chief Assistant City Attorney <br />Carlos Rojas, Interim Police Chief <br />Gerardo Mouet, PRCSA Executive Director <br />Ron Ono, Administrative Services Manager <br />Jeannie Jurado, Interim Community Services Manager <br />SAUSD Staff Present Stefanie Phillips, Ed.D., Deputy Superintendent, Operations <br />Joe Dixon, Assistant Superintendent, Facilities & <br />Governmental Relations <br />Art Jimenez, Director of Constituency Services <br />Cynthia Gastelo, Board Recording Secretary <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: None <br />LOCAL CONTROL FUNDING FORMULA <br />o Dr. Phillips provided information on the Local Control Funding Formula. <br />She indicated changes are occurring and funding allocations are in <br />negotiations, but the District anticipates an overall higher level of funding. <br />On June 25th the SAUSD will be adopting a budget based on current law. <br />If additional funding is provided, the District has 45 days to revise the <br />budget. <br />o Dr. Noji indicated the budget is in place for 2013 -14, but it is unknown for <br />2014 -15.
