CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR LED POST TOP RETROFIT STREETLIGHTS <br />& <br />LED PARKING STRUCTURE LIGHTING <br />The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to obtain a Proposer to enter an agreement with <br />the City to (1) remove and dispose of existing historic, decorative post top street light luminaires, <br />and furnish and install energy efficient LED post top retrofit streetlight luminaires (2) remove and <br />dispose of existing high pressure sodium parking structure lighting and install new energy efficient <br />LED structure lighting. The ALTERNATE PROPOSAL is to provide and test only. The Proposer will <br />be required to provide 375 LED post top retrofit street light luminaires and 123 parking structure <br />luminaires. The City reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of lights at no additional <br />cost per fixture. <br />11. PERIOD OF CONTRACT <br />Unless earlier terminated as allowed for in the agreement, contract term shall be for a period of one <br />year or until the work is complete. The contract term is anticipated to commence after City Council <br />award of this contract and upon receipt and approval of all required bonds and insurance <br />documents. The projected contract award date is Tuesday November 18, 2014 and may be <br />adjusted as necessary by the City. <br />III. PROPOSAL DEPOSIT AND PERFORMANCE BOND <br />A proposal deposit in the amount of five percent (5 %) of the total proposed annual contract <br />amount set forth in Exhibit B shall accompany each proposal. The proposal deposit must be in <br />the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, certified check, bank draft, letter of credit, trust company <br />treasurer's check, or money order. Checks shall be payable to the City of Santa Ana. NO <br />PERSONAL OR COMPANY CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Proposal deposit of the <br />unsuccessful proposers shall be returned upon award of contract by the City. <br />The successful proposer shall supply a performance bond & payment bond in the amount of <br />one - hundred percent (100 %) of the successfully awarded total annual contract amount of the <br />proposal prior to execution of the contract. Upon receipt of the performance bond, the proposal <br />deposit will be returned. The proposal deposit is subject to be forfeited if the successful proposer <br />fails to execute the written contract and furnish the required performance bond, or to satisfy any <br />other conditions present within a reasonable time as determined by the City. The performance <br />bond is to be renewed annually and submitted by the contractor in the amount of the total annual <br />contract amount. Performance & Payment bonds are not required for provide only alternate. <br />IV.
