A board member is appointed by the majority of the City Council. <br />■ Orange County Council of Governments (OCCOG) <br />SCAG nominates a member to OCCOG. <br />■ Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) <br />A board member and alternate is appointed by the majority of the City Council. Selection <br />must be authorized by resolution. <br />• Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) <br />Board member appointed by the City Selection Committee which was established through <br />Government Code § 50270. <br />■ Transportation System Improvement Authorities - Orange & Tustin (TSIA) <br />A board member and alternate are appointed by the majority of the City Council for each of <br />the two (2) Authorities. <br />■ Southern California Association of Governments (SLAG) District #16 <br />A board member and alternate is appointed by the majority of the City Council. Mayor may <br />nominate representative. <br />• Transportation Corridor Agencies (TCA) — Foothill /Eastern <br />A board member and alternate are appointed by the majority of the City Council. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #5 Community Health, Livability, <br />Engagement & Sustainability, Objective #1 (Establish a comprehensive community engagement <br />initiative to expand access to information and create opportunities for stakeholders to play an <br />active role in discussing public policy and setting priorities). <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact associated with this action. <br />Maria D.
