Establishments that <br />sell alcoholic beverages require a conditional use permit (CUP) pursuant to Section 41 -196 of the <br />Santa Ana Municipal Code (SAMC). <br />Proiect Location and Site Description <br />Northgate Market is currently operating within an existing multi- tenant commercial center located on <br />the southwest corner of Bristol Street and McFadden Avenue. The center is approximately 9.2 acres <br />in size; Northgate Market occupies approximately 22,714 square feet of building area in the center <br />and is centrally located on the site. The site contains 335 parking spaces. The site is surrounded by <br />single - family residential uses to the north and south, multi- family residential uses to the west, and <br />single- family residential to the east (Exhibits 1, 2 and 3). <br />Proiect Description <br />Northgate Market is requesting approval of a Type 21 ABC license upgrade to allow the off - premise <br />sale of beer, wine and distilled spirits as an ancillary service to the primary retail use for its customers. <br />The supermarket is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week.
