individual who significantly contributed his time and efforts for a better <br />Santa Ana, John Palacio and several members of the community would <br />like to request the naming of the pedestrian bridge at the SARTC as the <br />Gordon Bricken Pedestrian Bridge. <br />F. In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act the <br />recommended action is exempt for further review per Section 15061 <br />(b)(3). The general rule exemption is allowed provided it can be <br />determined with certainty that the proposed project will not have a <br />significant effect on the environment. As the project consists of the <br />naming of a public facility to recognize a significant contributor to Santa <br />Ana's history, the general rule exemption is applicable. General Rule <br />Environmental Review No. 2015 -13 will be filed for this project. <br />Section 2. The Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, after <br />conducting the public hearing, hereby approves Street Naming No. 2015 -02 to name <br />the pedestrian bridge at the SARTC as the "Gordon Bricken Pedestrian Bridge." This <br />decision is based upon the evidence submitted at the above said hearing, which <br />includes, but is not limited to: the Request for Planning Commission Action dated March <br />9, 2015, and exhibits attached thereto; and the public testimony, all of which are <br />incorporated herein by this reference. <br />ADOPTED this 9th day of March, 2015 by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners: Alderete, Bacerra, Bauer, Gartner Mill, Nalle, Verino (7) <br />NOES: Commissioners: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Commissioners: None (0) <br />ABSTENTIONS: Commissioners: None (0) <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />Sonia R.
