All contours ignore localized <br />shielding effects. <br />Source: Endo Engineering <br />Tables 9 and 10 provide the predicted current CNEL and Leq levels <br />adjacent to Bristol Street in the project area Assuming a noise <br />reduction with a distance factor of 3.0 dBA with each doubling, and <br />assuming no adjustment for local attenuation (houses, buildings, noise <br />barriers, etc.), the distance to various noise contours used for land use <br />compatibility purposes have also been determined and shown. <br />The FHWA RD- 707 -108 noise model predicts noise levels based upon <br />average traffic volumes, speeds, roadway width, truck mix, and distance <br />to observers. Noise measurements reflect the actual conditions on one <br />particular day at the location monitored. <br />[Noise measurements can be strongly affected by weather, placement of <br />traffic control devices, design and condition of the roadway, and <br />topography. A comparison of the noise model predictions and the <br />noise measurements can provide additional information about the affect <br />of localized conditions on traffic noise. <br />11I -25 <br />75C -96 <br />
