ATTACHMENT <br />Artscape leveraged a variety of funding opportunities to finance the barn's redevelopment, including: <br />• Departments within the federal and provincial governments such as housing, tourism and Heritage <br />Canada <br />• Numerous foundations and private companies <br />Local private condominium developer because of the Section 37 bylaw which allows a municipality <br />to pass zoning bylaws authorizing additional height and /or density to a development project, but in <br />return the developer must offer community benefits" <br />• City of Toronto contributed funds to remediate the contaminated soil <br />One of the innovative methods of fundraising included the sale of donated photographs of the <br />dilapidated pre- renovation structures by prominent artists. <br />The Nk,xf Practice WSIA -57 <br />
