programs by a vote of 4:0 (Leon abstained) for the Public Law Center, and 5:0 <br />for all other nonprofit organizations on February 11, 2015, <br />Finance, Economic Development, and Technology Committee received a <br />presentation on the CDBG Fiscal Year 2015 -2016 at a Special Meeting on <br />March 18, 2015. <br />Legal Notice published in the Orange County Register, in La Opinion (Spanish) <br />and the Nguoi Viet (Vietnamese) on March 24, 2015. <br />Mayor Pulido opened the Hearing. <br />The following spoke on the matter: <br />1. Don Collins, representing Council on Aging, available to answer questions. <br />2. Ava Steffens, representing Kidworks, supports staff recommendation, <br />seeking funding to open new center at Cedar Evergreen. <br />3. Kathleen Bowman, representing WisePlace, thanked staff for supporting <br />their application. <br />4. Judith Padilla, representing Human Options, requesting funding for new <br />program that will benefit 250 children by promoting safety and decreasing <br />domestic violence; look to partner with local school and engage the <br />community. <br />5. Gregory Mathes, representing Goodwill of OC and Director of Grants, seeks <br />Council support for their program, re -entry into the workforce and work with <br />people with disabilities. <br />6. Phalen Lim, representing The Cambodian Family, seeks support for program <br />7.
