LAR/4 /21 /15 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -018 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA ACCEPTING THE DONATION OF TWO PORTABLE <br />CLASSROOMS AT CENTENNIAL PARK FROM RANCHO <br />SANTIAGO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br />A. WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana and Rancho Santiago Community <br />College District have had a long- standing relationship and joint use of <br />educational training facilities at Cenntennial Park in the City of Santa Ana <br />including the use of two portable classrooms for Santa Ana Police <br />Department and fire services training classes; <br />B. WHEREAS, Rancho Santiago Community College District no longer has a <br />need for two portable classrooms locted at Centennial Park and the <br />classrooms have an estimated value of $2,500 each; <br />C. WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana can continue to use the two portable <br />classrooms for training classes and will not have to procure alternative <br />space to conduct training courses or purchase portable buildings to <br />maintain a training location at Centennial Park moving forward; <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby accepts Rancho <br />Santiago Community College District's donation of two portable classrooms at <br />Centennial Park in "as -is" condition. <br />Section 3. If any surcharge or fee, section, subsection, sentence, clause, <br />phrase or word of this Resolution is for any reason held to be invalid by a court of <br />competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining <br />portions of this Resolution. The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed <br />and adopted this Resolution, and each and all provisions hereof, irrespective of the fact <br />that one or more provisions may be declared invalid. <br />Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br />Resolution No. 2015 -018 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
