APPROVED: 10.07 -14 <br />ITEM NO, 6 <br />RESOLUTION NO, 9477 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOUNTAIN <br />VALLEY SUPPORTING THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS THE LEAD LOCAL <br />AGENCY REQUESTING FUNDING FOR THE HARBOR BOULEVARD <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYNCHRONIZATION PROJECT UNDER THE MEASURE <br />M2 REGIONAL TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYNCHRONIZATION PROGRAM <br />ADMINISTERED BY THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION <br />AUTHORITY (OCTA); AND <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FOUNTAIN VALLEY HEREBY <br />RESOLVES, DETERMINES AND ORDERS AS FOLLOWS THAT: <br />(a) WHEREAS, the City of Fountain Valley desires to participate in the <br />Harbor Boulevard Traffic signal Synchronization Project; and <br />(b) WHEREAS, the City of Fountain Valley has been declared by the <br />Orange County Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility <br />requirements to receive revenues as part of Measure M2; and <br />(c) WHEREAS, the City of Fountain Valley has a currently adopted <br />Local Signal Synchronization Plan consistent with the Regional <br />Traffic Signal Synchronization Master Plan as a key component of <br />local agencies' efforts to synchronize traffic signals across local <br />agencies' boundaries; and <br />(d) WHEREAS, the City of Fountain Valley will not use Measure M2 <br />funds to supplant developer fees or other commitments <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, The City Council of the <br />City of Fountain Valley hereby authorizes funds or in -kind services commitment <br />for the Harbor Boulevard Traffic Signal Synchronization Project funding <br />application. <br />
