WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate funds <br />for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the County; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa will not use Measure M2 funds to supplant <br />Developer Fees or other commitments; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa will use Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Program <br />funding as a supplement to the existing pavement management program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Costas Mesa has a currently adopted Local Signal <br />Synchronization Plan consistent with the Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization <br />Program Master Plan as a key component of local agencies' efforts to synchronizing <br />traffic signals across local agencies' boundaries; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Costa Mesa desires to implement multi - jurisdictional signal <br />synchronization; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br />The City Council of the City of Costa Mesa hereby requests the Orange County <br />Transportation Authority allocate Measure M2 funds in the amounts requested in the <br />City's applications, listed in Exhibit A, to the City from the Comprehensive <br />Transportation Programs and it agrees that said funds shall be matched by City funds <br />as required. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Costa Mesa, <br />California, does hereby authorize the Costa Mesa Director of Public Services or <br />designee, to file applications for Renewed Measure M funded Comprehensive <br />2 <br />
