DESCRIPTION <br />The Talkgroup Call is the primary level of <br />organization for communications on a trunked <br />radio system. Dispatchers with Talkgroup Call <br />capability will be able to communicate with other <br />members of the same talkgroup. This provides the <br />effect of an assigned channel down to the <br />talkgroup level, When a Talkgroup Call is initiated <br />from a subscriber unit, the call is indicated on each <br />dispatch operator position that has a channel <br />control resource associated with the unit's <br />channel /talkgroup. <br />SETUP <br />RADIO -1 - TALKGROUP 1 <br />RADIO-2 - TALKGROUP 2 <br />RADIO -3 - TALKGROUP 1 <br />RADIO -4 - TALKGROUP 2 <br />CONSOLE- I - TALKGROUPI <br />CONSOLE -2 - TALKGROUP 2 <br />VERSION #1.010 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />MCC7500 P25 Dispatch Migration and Subscribers <br />+ Motorola Solutions Confidential Restricted <br />Step 1, Initiate a wide area call from <br />CONSOLE -1 on TALKGROUP 1 <br />Step 2. Observe that RADIO -1 and RADIO -3 <br />will be able to monitor the call. Dekey <br />the console and have either radio <br />respond to the call. <br />Step 3. Observe that all consoles with <br />TALKGROUP 1 can monitor both sides <br />of the conversation. <br />Step 4. Initiate a wide area call from <br />CONSOLE -2 on TALKGROUP 2. <br />Step 5. Observe that RADIO.2 and RADIO-4 <br />will be able to monitor the call. Dekey <br />the console and have either radio <br />respond to the call. <br />Step 6.
