• Continue to promote the Residential and Commercial Rebate <br />programs. <br />• Develop Drought Action Plan. <br />• Utilize Smart meters <br />Citywide Drought Response <br />— Comply with irrigation restrictions. <br />— Stop the irrigation of Public Street Medians. <br />— Convert medians to drought tolerant landscape. <br />— Establish standards for Storm Water Capture. <br />— Conduct a Recycled Water feasibility study (w /OCWD). <br />— Convert old water meters to smart meters. <br />— Remove turf from Public Facilities and replace with drought tolerant <br />planting. <br />— Reduce water system flushing activities. <br />— Enforce Water Wasting violations. <br />— Administer Lawn -to- Garden turf removal program. <br />— Establish on -site water conservation rules and regulations. <br />— Establish standards for the use of artificial plants. <br />— Focus on athletic fields and sensitive plants & trees. <br />— Stop the operations of all public fountains. <br />— Consider Recycled Water if available from OCWD. <br />— Citywide Drought Response <br />— Upgrade the Corporation Yard car wash. <br />— Revise Utility Bills to reflect water use information to customers. <br />Mayor Pulido opened the hearing.
