In December 2014, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP 14-090) for Adult <br />r Crossing Guard services to ensure the safe movement of elementary school children <br />around school zones within the City of Santa Ana,. <br />_ & Currently, the Crossing Guard Program provides crossing guard services to three school <br />districts, which includes 35 schools, with a total of 49 crossing guards throughout: the <br />,ZU City. <br />C. Two vendors submitted proposals for the RPP. After careful evaluation and <br />consideration of the proposals, Consultant was ranked the highest and has been selected <br />for the Agreement. <br />D. In undertaking the performance of this Agreement, Consultant represents that it is <br />knowledgeable in its field of providing crossing guard services for elementary school <br />children and that any services performed by Consultant under this Agreement will be <br />performed in compliance with such standards as may reasonably be expected fronn a <br />professional consulting firm in the field. <br />NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and <br />subject to the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, the parties agree as follows: <br />i, SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Consultant shall agree to perform school crossing guard services for the City of Santa <br />Ana, The scope of work shall be as follows: <br />a. Consultant will monitor, supervise, and assure the safety of all school children that <br />utilize intersections and crosswalks while moving to and from school. <br />b. Consultant shalt perform all work to the highest professional standard and in a <br />manner deemed reasonably satisfactory to the Chief of Police or his designee. <br />c. Consultant will provide an estimated 39,351 hours per year of crossing guard services <br />by qualified adult crossing guards approved by the City during pre -determined time <br />periods at specific locations throughout the City as shown in Exhibit "A".
