CITY MANAGER: COUNCIL T.A. BLE. The City Man. <br />agar shall be accorded i seat at the City Councd table and shall be <br />entitled to participate in the deliberations of the City Council, but shall <br />not hive a vote. He shall attend all regular and special meetings of the <br />City Council unless physically unable to do so or unless his absence <br />has received prior approval by a majority of the Council. <br /> <br /> Section 503. CITY MANAGER: ABSENCE, DISABILITY. To perform <br />his duties during his temporary absence or disability, the City Manager <br />may designate by letter tiled with the Clerk of the Council one of the <br />other officers ur department heads of the City to serve es Acting City <br />Manager during such temporary absence or d~sabllJty. Such designation <br />shall be subiect to change thereof by the City Council. In the event of <br />failure of the City Manager to make such designation, the City Council <br />may by resolution appoint an officer or department head of the City to <br />perform the duties.of the City M~neger until he shaft be prepared to <br />resume the duties of office. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE VI <br /> REVENUE AND TAXATION ' <br /> <br /> Section 600. TAX SYSTEM. For the purpose of ad valorem <br />municipal taxation, the county system of assessment and tax collection as <br />such system is now in effect or may hereafter be amended, and insofar <br />as such provisions ere not in conflict with this Charter, shall continue to <br />be used unless otherwise provided by ordinance. <br /> <br /> Section 601. TAX LIMITS. Exclusive of special levies permitted <br />by this Charter, the City Council shay not levy for municipal purposes · <br />property tax In excess of One and One-Fourth Dollars ($1.25) on each <br />One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of the assessed value of taxable prop- <br />arty in the City, unless authorized by the affirmative votes of two-thirds <br /> <br /> <br />
