RESOLUTION NO, 2015- <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND AND REESTABLISH THE CITY'S <br />BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLANS TO <br />EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES, AND TO RESCIND <br />RESOLUTION NOS. 2015 -001 AND 2015 -008. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br />B. On January 20, 2015, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 2015 -001, modifying, reestablishing and delineating the Basic <br />Unrepresented Executive Management (EM). <br />C. The City of Santa Ana's Basic Compensation and Benefit Plan for classes <br />of employment designated as Unrepresented Executive Management <br />(EM), is attached hereto as exhibit "A," and is made a part hereof. <br />D. On February 17, 2015, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 2015 -008, amending and reestablishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for all full -time and part -time classifications of <br />employment, excepting Executive Management. <br />E. The City of Santa Ana's Position Classification and Pay Plan for all full - <br />time and part -time classifications of employment, is attached hereto as <br />exhibits "B" through "I ", and is made a part hereof. <br />F. The City Council has amended and reestablished the Basic Classification <br />and Compensation Plans on numerous occasions since adoption. <br />G. With the adoption of the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2015 -2016, the <br />City Council authorized certain organizational, staffing, and compensation <br />changes which affect a number of classification titles in the City's Basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plans, <br />75A -1 -9 <br />
