REPORTS <br />65A. <br />Councilmember Tinajero, concerned with possible abuse and corruption; <br />supports option #1. <br />Councilmember Reyna, concerned that associations that are more active <br />will benefit from policy; recommended $1,000 per Neighborhood <br />Association on a use it or lose it basis. <br />Councilmember Amezcua, asked how many associations are in each <br />Ward; would like equal representation. <br />Councilmember Benavides, supports matter and allocation for events <br />throughout the City. <br />Mayor Pulido, stated that it was trial; important to be consistent. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Sarmiento, noted that policy may be amended as needed. <br />MOTION: Direct staff to develop a resolution, implement policies, <br />and amend appropriate ordinances for following option. <br />Allocate annual funding of $10,000 to each Councilmember to <br />nominate neighborhood association and other approved entities for <br />approval by vote of the entire City Council, for a total amount of <br />$70,000. <br />MOTION: Martinez SECOND: Sarmiento <br />VOTE: AYES: Benavides, Martinez, Pulido, Sarmiento (4) <br />NOES: Amezcua, Reyna, Tinajero (3) <br />ABSTAIN: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None(0) <br />PARK RANGER PROGRAM UPDATE {STRATEGIC PLAN NO. 1, 1) - <br />Police Department <br />Councilmember Martinez, requested status of hiring and overtime cost; <br />also, routine updates. <br />MOTION: Receive and file. <br />MOTION: Martinez SECOND: Amezcua <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 15 JUNE 2, 2015 <br />10A-15 <br />
