DATE:'— x� CONSULTANT AGREEMENT WITH ADLERHORST INTERNATIONAL INC. h THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 7th day of April, 2015 by and between Adlerhorst International, Inc., a California Corporation, (hereinafter "Consultant"), and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation organized and existing under the ey' Constitution and laws of the State of California (hereinafter RECITALS N� A. The City desires to retain a consultant having special skill and knowledge in the field of providing police K-9 training for both police dogs and police K-9 handlers; and selecting appropriate dugs for use as a. K-9 police dog. B. Consultant represents that it is able and willing to provide such services to the City. C. In undertaking theperformance of this Agreement, Consultant represents that it is knowledgeable in its field and that any services performed by Consultant under this Agreement will be performed in compliance with such standards as may reasonably be expected from a professional consulting firm in the held. NOW 'THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the terms and conditions hereinafter set forth, the parties agree as follows: I. SCOPE OF SERVICES Consultant agrees to provide monthly training for police K -9s and their handlers, basic handler training as required for new K-9 handlers, new K-9 selection (Belgian Mahnois or German Shepherd), training of new K -9s, Narcotic detection training for K -9s and handlers as needed, and miscellaneous equipment. COMPENSATION a. City agrees to pay, and Consultant agrees to accept as total payment for its services, the rates and charges set forth below.
