Contract Award For Traffic Signal at Raitt/Adams <br />& Bike Lanes on Newhope and First Streets <br />March 17, 2015 <br />Page 2 <br />State funds are provided for eligible projects that improve safety and convenience for bicycle <br />commuters. The BTA application was accepted and the City was awarded $110,700 (Exhibit 3). <br />The added funding will be used to provide for a smooth Class 11 bike lane on First Street between <br />Newhope Street and Harbor Boulevard. <br />The following table summarizes the available funds and proposed expenditures for this project: <br />Available Funds <br />Prior Years & Current CIP $745,100 <br />(various sources) <br />BTA (Newly Added Amount) $110,700 <br />Total Available $855,800 <br />Proposed Expenditures $855,800 <br />Project Cost Analysis <br />In addition to the BTA <br />Improvement Program <br />Measure M2 funds. <br />grant, project funding from the prior year CIPS include Bicycle Corridor <br />(BCIP) funds, Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) funds, and <br />A Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on January 14 and 15, 2015, and bids were opened on <br />February 4, 2015.
