<br />The Grantee Agency will comply with the provisions of the Buy America Act (49 U,S.C. 5323(j)), which
<br />contains the following requirements:
<br />Only steel, iron and manufactured products produced in the United States may be purchased with Federal funds
<br />unless the Secretary of Transportation determines that such domestic purchases would be inconsistent with the
<br />Public interest, that such materials are not reasonably available and Of a satisfactory quality, or that inclusion of
<br />domestic materials will increase the cost of the overall project contract by more than 25 percent. Clear
<br />justification for the purchase of non- domestic items must be in the form of a waiver request submitted to and
<br />approved by the Secretary of Transportation.
<br />POLITICAL ACTIVITY (HATCH ACT)
<br />The Grantee Agency will comply with provisions of the Hatch Act (5 U.S.C. 1501 -1508) which limits the
<br />political activities of employees whose principal employment activities are funded in whole or in pats with
<br />Federal funds.
<br />CERTIFICATION REGARDING FEDERAL LOBBYING
<br />Certification for Contracts, Grants, Loans, and Cooperative Agreements
<br />The undersigned certifies, to the best of his or her knowledge and belief, that
<br />1. No Federal appropriated funds have been paid or will be paid, by or on behalf of the undersigned, to any
<br />person for influencing or attempting to influence an officer or employee of any agency, a Member of
<br />Congress, an officer or employee of Congress, or an employee of a Member of Congress in connection with
<br />the awarding of any Federal contract, the malting of any Federal grant, the making of any Federal loan, the
<br />entering into of any cooperative agreement, and the extension, continuation, renewal, amendment, or
<br />modification of any Federal contract, grant, loan, or cooperative agreement,
<br />2. If any funds other than Federal appropriated funds have been paid or will be paid to any personn for
<br />influencing or attempting to influence an officer or employee of any agency, a Member of Congress, an
<br />officer Or employee of Congress, or an employee of a Member of Congress in connection with this Federal
<br />contract, grant, loan, or cooperative agreement, the undersigned shall complete and submit Standard Forrn-
<br />LLL, "Disclosure Form to Report Lobbying," in accordance with its instructions,
