<br />CITY OF SANTA ANA
<br />The Ruud of Administration, Public Employes' Retirement System, hereinafter
<br />referred to as Board, rand the governingc, body of above public agency, herein-
<br />after referred to as Public Agency, having entered Into a, contrtact. effective
<br />July 1, 1947, and witnopsed November 25, 1946, and ns amended esffentive
<br />October 1, 1951, February 1, 1954, September 1, 1956, July 1, 1959, November 1,
<br />19CO, September 1, 1963, April 1, 1914, February 1, 1965, January 16, 1969,
<br />November 1, 1970, .tune 1, 1974, December 16, 1976, December 1, 1978, October 1,
<br />1e:30, July 1, 1984 and December 1, 1964, which provides for participation of
<br />Public. Agency in said System, Board and Public Agency hereby agree as follows:
<br />A. Paragraphs 1 through 12 care hereby stricken from said contract tract as executed
<br />effective December 1, 1=984, end hereby replaced by the: following paragraphs
<br />numbered 1 through 12 Inclusive;
<br />1. All words and terms used herein which are defined in the Public
<br />Employees' Retirement Low shall have the meaning as defined therein
<br />unless otherwise specifically provided. "Norma=l, retirement ages"
<br />shall mean ague bQ for local miscellaneous members, age 50 for local
<br />safety members hired prior to October 1, 1981 egad ago 55 for local
<br />safety members hired on or after October 1, 1981.
<br />2. Public Agency 0411 paFrtinip=ate fru the Public Employees' Retirement,
<br />System from and after July 1, 1947 flanking Its employees as hereinafter
<br />provided, members of said System subject to all provisions of the
<br />Public Employees* Re=tirement Lasa except such as apply only on election
<br />of a contracting agency and are not provided for herein and to all
<br />amendments to said Lars hereafter enacted except those, which by
<br />express provisions thereof, apply only on the election of a
<br />contracting agency.
<br />3. Employees of Public Agency :In the i'ca:'.iaowing4 cla.A= shall become
<br />members of maid Retirement System except such in ancb such class as
<br />are excluded by law or We agfreemcnt:
<br />a. Local Fire: Fiahtter•s (herein referred to as local safety mcmbors);
<br />b. Local Police Officers Therein referred to as local eaaf ty
<br />members),
<br />c. Employees other than loe;a;l safety members (herein rr fc,rrcd to as
<br />local miscellaneous members).
