<br />The Board of Administration, Public Employees' Retirement System, herein-
<br />after referred to as Board, and the governing body of above public agency, here-
<br />inafter referred to as Public Agency, having entered into a contrac:•t, effective
<br />July 1, 1947, and witnessed Novc,mber 25, 1946, End 6s amended eff cti.vc October,
<br />1, 1951, February 1, 1974, September 1, 1956, July 1, 1959, November 1, 1960,
<br />September 1, 1963, April 1, 1964, February 1, 1965, January 16, 1965, Kov€mbor
<br />1, 1970, June 1, 1974, December 16, 1976, Deco=mber 1, 1978, and October 1,
<br />1951, which provides for psrtiei.pntion of Publ.,ic, Agency in said System, Board
<br />and Public Agency hereby ngr€ce as follows:
<br />A. Paragraphs 1 through 11 are hereby stricken from sold contract so executed
<br />effective October 1, 1981, and hereby replaced by the following paragraphs
<br />numbered 1 through 1? inclusive,
<br />1. All 4ords and terms used herein which are defamed in the PublK Employ-
<br />e a r' Rertir aanent. Low shall have the meaning as defined therein unless
<br />ot`erwis� specifically provided. 1Normal retirement age" shall mean
<br />age 60 for local miscellaneous members, age 50, for those local safety
<br />mombers hired prior to October 1, 1981, and age 55 for ;hoses loe;al
<br />safety members hired on or after October 1, 1781.
<br />2. Public Agency ohola participate- in the Public Empluye€=s' Rotirom nt
<br />System from and after July 1, 1947 making ;its employees as hereinafter
<br />provided, mombera of said System subjnab to 811 provisions of the
<br />Public Employee& Retirement. Law except such as apply only on election
<br />of a:, contracting agency and are not provided for heroin and to 21.1,
<br />amendments to staid Law hereafter enacted except those, which by ex-
<br />press provisions thereof, apply only on the election of a contracting,
<br />agency.
