Officers are required to re- qualify regularly to <br />maintain proficiency in the use of firearms. The annual order for training and duty ammunition is <br />designed to provide quality products at a significant savings based on quantity pricing. <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on June 8, 2015, and offers were solicited. A summary of <br />the bids and offers received is as follows: <br />4 Vendors were notified <br />10 Vendors downloaded the bid <br />0 Bids received from a Santa Ana vendor <br />4 Bids received <br />Bids were received and opened on June 26, 2015. The bids received from Dooley Enterprises, <br />Inc. and San Diego Police Equipment are responsive to the specifications and meets the City's <br />requirements — Exhibit 1. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #1 Community Safety; Objective #5 <br />(provide high quality Police and Fire /Emergency Medical Services response within the City of <br />Santa Ana). <br />22D -1 <br />
