Name of Applicant: Amount Requested <br />Joseph Hawa $10,000 <br />Brief Description of Project: <br />Category: Score: <br />Artist 66.6 <br />Elder artist Joseph Hawa proposes a series of live painting demonstrations in DTSA on Sundays as <br />part of the new ArtBrunch program offerings. Additionally, a group of local Santa Ana artists will be <br />selected to apprentice with Mr. Hawa in the en plein air tradition. To ensure a healthy turnout, ads <br />will be purchased in art journals, gallery guides, event listings and culture blogs. To celebrate the end <br />of the series, a collective exhibit of program participants will be exhibited at the Santora Arts Building <br />during ArtWalk. <br />Community Benefit: <br />I am a longtime downtown Santa Ana artist and would like to provide demonstrations for the public <br />free of charge. <br />Portfolio: <br />See pages 22 -25 <br />25A -27 <br />
