ARTICLE iI <br />2.0 PURPOSE AND INTENT <br />2.1 It is the purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding MOU (hereinafter referred to as <br />MOU) to promote and provide for harmonious relations, cooperation and understanding <br />between the City and employees covered by this MOU. It sets forth the full and entire <br />understanding reached in good faith negotiations regarding the wages, hours, terms and <br />conditions of employment of employees covered by this MOU. <br />2.2 Notwithstanding the following provisions of this MOU, the parties agree that they have <br />intended nothing herein to entitle, alter, or award Civil Service rights or privileges to any <br />employee represented by SAMA who is in the Excepted Service of the City. <br />55394.00000113081631.1 <br />4 <br />25H -6 <br />
