ARTICLE IV <br />4.0 SALARIES <br />4.1 Basic Compensation Plan. There is hereby established a basic compensation plan for all <br />Part Tirne Civil Service personnel who are now employed or will in the future be <br />employed in any of the designated classifications of employment represented by the <br />Union as listed in this Agreement and its attachments. <br />4.2 Salary Schedule. The basic salary schedule is attached hereto in a matrix format as <br />Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as though set forth in full herein. Such salary <br />schedule provides numerous salary rate ranges, each comprised of six (6) steps or rates of <br />pay. <br />The respective rate ranges are identified by a three digit number. The steps within each <br />range are identified by the letters "AA" through "E" inclusive, with Step "AA" being the <br />lowest step in the range. For Part Time Civil Service employees, the purpose of each step <br />and length of service required for advancement to the next step within a particular salary <br />rate range is summarized as follows: <br />AA Step - Normal beginning pay rate. <br />A Step - After 1040 hours in next lower step. Also optional hiring rate. <br />B Step - After 2080 hours in next lower step. Also optional hiring rate. <br />C Step - After 2080 hours in next lower step. Also optional hiring rate. <br />D Step - After 2080 horns in next lower step. Is maximum hiring rate, <br />E Step - Merit rate. After 3120 hours in next lower step. <br />Specific regulations governing advancement within salary rate ranges for Part Time Civil <br />Service employees are set forth in Section 4.8 of this Agreement. <br />4.3 Salaries. <br />A. Effective July 1, 2015, the base salary of employees covered by this Agreement <br />shall be increased by five (5) salary rate ranges (approximately 2,5%). <br />B. Effective July 1, 2016, the base salary of employees covered by this Agreement <br />shall be increased by 2.5 %. <br />C. During the term of this MOU, should any other. employee bargaining tiuiit of the <br />City receive any base salary rate increase that exceeds those set forth in <br />Subsection "A" above, SEIU Part -Time Civil Service employees shall receive the <br />same base salary increase or equivalent as applied to the salary matrix (where <br />applicable) retroactive to the date such increase went into effect for the other <br />bargaining unit. <br />no <br />25J -8 <br />
