Section 3, The parking rates listed in this Resolution apply to vehicles <br />entering the specified off- street parking facility for the specified times, unless a <br />special event is scheduled that is anticipated to increase traffic and parking demands. <br />If a special event is scheduled, the rate may be established for the general public at no <br />less than $5.00 or no greater than $20.00, with approval of the City Manager, which <br />approval may be granted based on the City's best interests. The maximum rate may <br />be set as either a flat rate per entry or an increased incremental rate based upon time <br />of entry and duration of parking. The special event rate may apply to each parking <br />facility individually on a case by case basis with approval of the City Manager, For <br />purposes of this Resolution a special event is a City - approved event that requires <br />street closures. <br />Section 4. If a special event is scheduled, the rate charged to vendors <br />shall be no less than $3.00 and no greater than $20.00, with approval of the City <br />Manager, which approval may be granted based on the City's best interest. The <br />maximum rate may be set as either a flat rate per entry or an increased <br />incremental rate based upon time of entry and duration of parking. For purposes <br />of this Resolution a special event is a City- approved event that requires street <br />closures. If the special event is City sponsored, vendor fees may be waived with <br />approval from the City Manager. <br />Section 5. The City Manager will set the hours of operations and evening rate <br />(pre -pay) hours for the parking facilities described above and will have authority to <br />amend those hours from time to time based on the City's best interest. <br />Section 6. Parking validations can be purchased at a 50% discounted price <br />from the established hourly rate at the parking facilities. <br />Section Sectign 7. If there are any conflicts between the parking rates adopted <br />in this Resolution and any parking rates adopted by prior resolution or policy, the <br />rates adopted in this Resolution shall take precedence, <br />Section 8. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote <br />adopting this Resolution. <br />ADOPTED this day of 2015. <br />Miguel A.
