2015 Orange County Children's Therapeutic Arts Center <br />Youth Employment Program - WIOA Proposal <br />TABLE 5: Additional Job Training Programs for WIOA Youth mentored by NON-WIOA staff <br />MIM <br />Early Start Program <br />The Early Start program is and early intervention program that <br />NEW <br />Mondays <br />integrates very young children (6 months to 3 years of age) <br />8:30 am —11:30 am <br />with and without special in a natural community environment <br />Fridays <br />with their parents. It aims at enhancing students' cognitive, <br />8:30 am —10:30 am <br />language, motor and social development. <br />Pre -Kinder Arts <br />The Pre -Kinder Arts program is a bilingual school readiness <br />Wednesdays <br />Program <br />program that serves children ages 3- 4 years old. The parents <br />8:30 am —11:30 am <br />and children work together in a creative and nurturing <br />Fridays <br />environment by engaging in music, art, literacy, and parenting <br />10:30 —12:30 pm <br />classes to prepare children for school. <br />After School Arts <br />The ASA for Life program provides artistic training in the fields <br />Monday— Friday <br />Program <br />of Music, Visual Arts, Dance, Musical Theatre, and Technology <br />3:30 pm —8:30 pm <br />training to at -risk youth, and children with disabilities in the <br />and Saturdays <br />community. <br />9:00 am — 5:00 pm <br />Therapeutic Arts <br />This program serves children and youth with disabilities of all <br />Monday— Friday <br />Program <br />ages and special needs, including: learning disability, health <br />3:30 pm —8:30 pm <br />impairments, physical disability, developmental disabilities <br />Saturdays <br />and others. <br />9:00 am —5:00 pm <br />Learning Academy & <br />This program provides homework support and tutoring to <br />Monday— Friday <br />Tutoring Program <br />students (ages 5 — 16 yrs) in Language Arts (reading and <br />4:00-8:00 pm <br />writing), math, and other academic subjects. <br />Saturdays <br />9:00 am -5:00 pm <br />OCCTAC <br />This program provides outreach, prevention, referrals and <br />Monday— Friday <br />Family wellness <br />engagement with individuals at -risk of mental health <br />8:30 am —8:30 pm <br />Program <br />problems. Other support services include parenting, <br />and weekends <br />counseling, and support groups. <br />B. Special consideration will be given to organizations that can prepare youth for targeted <br />in -demand industries as identified in the SAWIB's five year plan: <br />(Manufacturing/Advanced Manufacturing, Healthcare and associated social services, <br />Hospitality/entertainment and Green/clean/environment). OCCTAC's Youth employment <br />program targets 3 of the in -demand industries stated above 1) Healthcare, 2) Social <br />services and 3) Entertainment/Arts. <br />C. Special Consideration for organizations that offer job training/preparation in the industries <br />of: Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math. OCCTAC offers job <br />training/preparation in three of the industries mentioned above: 1) Technology, 2) the Arts <br />and 3) Education/Math. <br />D. List some of the employers that will assist in the paid and unpaid work experience <br />opportunities.
