EXEMPT FROM FEES PURSUANT <br />TO GOVERNMENT CODE § 6103 <br />07/23/15 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -XX <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br />COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION APPLICATION <br />NO. 2015 -08 TO PLACE THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br />2043 NORTH VICTORIA DRIVE, SANTA ANA, ON THE <br />HISTORICAL REGISTER AND APPROVING HISTORIC <br />REGISTER CATEGORIZATION NO. 2015 -08 PLACING <br />SAID PROPERTY WITHIN THE KEY CATEGORY <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1, The Historic Resources Commission of the City of Santa Ana <br />hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. On July 23, 2015, the Historic Resources Commission held a duly noticed <br />public hearing for the placement on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties (Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2015 -08) and <br />categorization (Historic Resources Commission Categorization No. 2015- <br />08) of the Arens House, located at 2043 North Victoria Drive, Santa Ana. <br />B. The Arens House has distinctive architectural features of the Colonial <br />Revival with a French Regency Variant. The home was built in 1949 for <br />Eleanor and Leslie G. Arens by contractor J.O. Cooper. Mr. Arens was a <br />salesman for Footsaver Shoes, a very popular brand from the 1920s <br />through the 1960s. <br />C. This home qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of Historical <br />Properties and is eligible for categorization as Key because it possesses <br />"distinctive architectural style and quality ". <br />D. Character - defining features of the Arens House that should be preserved <br />include, but may not be limited to, materials and finishes, cross gabled <br />roof configuration and detailing. <br />E. The legal owners of the subject property are Christopher and Kelly <br />Reinberger. <br />F. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as Exhibit <br />A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. <br />G. The subject property meets the minimal standards for placement on the <br />City of Santa Ana Register of Historic Properties pursuant to Section 30 -2 <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code. <br />Resolution No, 2015 -XX <br />25D -54 Page 1 of 4 <br />
