Year Completed: 2010; Client Name: City of Burbank; Contact Name and Number: Maribel Leyland <br />- 818.238.5180 <br />Salt Lake Park, Huntington Park <br />DEA landscape architects and irrigation designers provided conceptual and <br />final design plans for the improvements to the Salt Lake Park trail system. <br />The design included a new walking path, fitness stations, modifications <br />to picnic areas and seating, lighting improvements, new landscaping, in <br />addition to a full yet phased irrigation retrofit. The park was funded by <br />various grants and hence the use of sustainable products and techniques <br />will be implemented throughout the park. <br />Year Completed: 2014; Client Name: City of Huntington Park; Contact Name and Number: Danny <br />Bueno - 323.584.6218 <br />`E' Strut Park, San Bernardino, California <br />DEA landscape architects assisted MVR Consulting in facilitating <br />community workshops and developing a conceptual master plan for the <br />two acre'E Street Park' in San Bernardino. These tasks were instrumental <br />in formulating the Proposition 84 Grant Application that encourages <br />sustainability in design. The park is located on a busy corner in an <br />underserved neighborhood and will include many of the elements identified <br />throughout the community input process, such as a water'sprayground', <br />a skate park, soccer field and open space play, picnic areas, a basketball <br />court, signage, fitness area, a restroom, art in public places, and parking. <br />Sustainable features include permeable paving, drought tolerant planting, <br />solar lighting, 'Smart' irrigation techniques, recycled/ recyclable materials <br />and groundwater recharge.
