ARTICLE I <br />1.0 RECOGNITION <br />1.1 Pursuant to the provisions of the Meyers - Milias -Brown Act, Government Code Section <br />3500, et seq., the City of Santa Ana (hereinafter called the "City ") has recognized the <br />Santa Ana City Employees Chapter 1939 /Service Employees International Union Local <br />721 (hereinafter called the "Union ") as the recognized representative of the bargaining <br />unit which includes Part Time Civil Service personnel employed by the City of Santa <br />Ana in classifications listed in Exhibit "B ". <br />1.2 During the term of this Agreement, no substantive issue of representation shall be raised <br />contrary to this recognition except as provided in Resolution No. 81 -75, the Employer - <br />Employee Relations Resolution of the City of Santa Ana. <br />3 <br />
