City of Santa Ana CDBG Scope of Work <br />Program Year 2015 -16 (July 1, 2015 - June 30, 2016) <br />Name of Organization Public Law Center <br />Name of Funded Prograr Healthy & Livable Mobilehomes and Apartments <br />Annual Accomplishment Goal <br />Unduplicated Participants anticipated to be served during the 12 -month contract period. <br />42 TOTAL 1 42 Santa Ana Participants 100% 1 421 Low Income Participants I 100% <br />Program and Funding Description <br />The Public Law Center (PLC) will educate and represent low income tenants in Santa Ana regarding their right to a <br />habitable dwelling. PLC will also educate and represent low income mobile home owners regarding their <br />ownership rights. The services will be provided on a daily walk in and appointment basis and, if necessary, will be <br />provided at the resident's apartment or mobile home. PLC will prepare answers for low- income tenants living in <br />slum housing who are being evicted by their landlord. PLC will file habitability complaints on behalf of tenants and <br />coordinate with the Santa Ana code enforcement agency to ensure that the homes of our clients are properly <br />inspected and repaired. PLC will represent low- income tenants, living in slum housing, in unlawful detainers and <br />affirmative cases to ensure that the tenant's home is properly repaired. PLC will represent clients when the park <br />owners breach their contract in affirmative suits.
