Therefore, staff recommends award of this <br />contract to Green Giant Landscape, Inc. <br />The plans and bid package was divided to provide bids for the most essential area with an <br />additive alternate bid that, when combined with the base bid, would result in Improving the entire <br />patio and tot lot area, Since there is sufficient project funding for the entire scope of work, staff <br />recommends awarding a construction contract for the base bid of $98,500 plus the additive <br />alternate bid of $48,600, for a total contract amount of $147,000, <br />S A AL1 NMFI <br />Approval of this item supports the City's efforts to meet Goal #6 Community Facilities & <br />Infrastructure, Objective #2 (address deferred maintenance on City buildings and equipment), <br />Strategy B (utilize a five-year Deferred Maintenance Plan to strategize and finance funded and <br />unfunded needs). <br />NVIRON ENTAL IMPACT <br />In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, the recommended actions are <br />exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption Environmental Review ER 2015-60 has been <br />filed for this project. In addition, a Certification of Categorical Exclusion and Statutory Worksheet <br />have been prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. <br />
